Proclaim is Bethany's core volunteer choir. It is a non-auditioned group made up of singers from the 9th grade and beyond. No previous experience is necessary! The only requirements are a desire to sing and commitment to the ensemble.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00PM in the Music Rehearsal Room.
Services: 3-4 times per month

Following in the ancient choir school tradition, Schola Cantorum, Latin for "Singing School", is a program through the J.S. Bach Academy of Music at Bethany Lutheran Church & School. The program is divided into three choirs according to age and is based on the highly acclaimed Voice for Life framework designed by the Royal School of Church Music.
Schola Cantorum teaches children and youth from ages 5-18 good vocal habits, music literacy, and knowledge of repertoire in a fun, uplifting, and Christ-centered atmosphere, while simultaneously challenging them to grow into their full capacity as musicians and members of the community.Click here for more information about Schola Cantorum.
This is Bethany's primary handbell ensembles, consisting of 3-5 octaves of handbells with occasional choir chimes. Repertoire consists primarily of handbell anthems based on hymn tunes and classical music as well as descants and accompaniments for congregational hymns and liturgy.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 5:30-6:45PM in the Sanctuary
Services: 1-2 times per month

This ensemble is a collection of brass instrumentalists that provide music for worship services and other events. Following in the grand tradition of brass and timpani to augment the music of the liturgy and hymns in worship, as well as exploring some of the best brass repertoire available, this group endeavors to provide instrumentalists the opportunity to use their gifts to lift the Lord's Song here at Bethany. Players of differing levels are welcome.
Rehearsals: 2-3 rehearsals before each performance
